London Recap!!!
Today I want to highlight my recent trip to London, my recommendations, and all of my favorites from the trip!
Favorite Restaurant:
My favorite restaurant we went to on this trip was Dishoom in Kensington! It’s an Art Deco inspired restaurant serving Indian cuisine, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We went for dinner, and the ambiance was perfect. On Thursdays and Fridays, they have live music at their Kensington location. I highly recommend making a reservation before, as it fills up really early in the evening. Our favorite dishes we ordered were the broccoli salad, chicken ruby, black dal, and the chicken berry biryani! It’s a great place to go and order a bunch of dishes to share.
Favorite Art Exhibit:
My favorite art exhibit we explored was called Frameless - located in Marble Arch Place on the Northeast corner of Hyde Park! There are 4 different rooms with shows that last about 20 minutes each. It’s immersive, so you sit/move around in each room while the show plays. It’s fun and quick - easy to add into your schedule!!
Favorite Day Trip:
Windsor
My favorite day trip we took was to Windsor. We took the train mid-morning and arrived at lunch. We had a reservation for tea at The Castle Hotel right by Windsor Castle, and it was so wonderful. Then, we took the tour of Windsor Castle where Queen Elizabeth lived for many years. On this tour, we also got to tour St. George’s Chapel, which is where Queen Elizabeth’s tomb is located. It is such a beautiful property, and if you love architecture and interior design, this is the place to go!
My Favorite Tea:
Bridgerton Afternoon Tea at the Lanesborough Hotel was definitely one of my favorite experiences of the trip. The Lanesborough Hotel is absolutely stunning. The wait staff was extremely attentive and it wasn’t crowded or loud at all. Of all the sandwiches and pastries served, we all agreed that the chicken salad sandwiches were our favorite. I don’t even watch Bridgerton, but if you love the show, you’ll love this experience even more!
Favorite Outfit I Wore:
Obviously I had to include an outfit in this post. This was my favorite outfit I wore during the trip - perfect for London weather!! I got this blue and white belted cardigan in Paris last year from a store called Pablo! They don’t have it in stock any more, but I’m linking some similar ones along with the rest of my outfit!
