Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe
This summer, my hyper-fixation food has been banana bread. My recipe has no refined sugar and is vegan as well. (I’m not even vegan, but it’s so good.) See the recipe below:
Dry Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
5 over-ripe bananas (mashed)
1 tbsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup maple syrup (NOT pancake syrup)
3 tbsp milk of choice
Other Ingredients:
As many Lily’s dark chocolate chips as you’d like
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, mash bananas and mix all wet ingredients.
Add the wet into the dry, and mix. Add chocolate chips or any chopped nuts at this step.
Transfer to parchment-lined bread dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out almost clean.
